Ronald Wright is a prize-winning historian, essayist and novelist. He is the author of nine books, including the number-one bestseller A Short History of Progress (the 2004 CBC Massey Lectures), which won the CBA Libris Award for Nonfiction Book of the Year and has been published worldwide in more than a dozen languages.

His first novel, A Scientific Romance, won Britain’s David Higham Prize for Fiction and was chosen a book of the year by the Globe and Mail, the Sunday Times, and the New York Times

Wright’s other books include the bestselling Stolen Continents and Time Among the Maya. He lives in British Columbia.
